Kevin Hart Receives Oscar Host Backlash After Past Homophobic Jokes

Almost immediately after being
named the host for the 2019 Oscars,

also included a part where his
son gave off "homosexual tendencies," to which Hart replied,
"Stop, that's gay!" Hart told 'Rolling Stone' in 2015 that
the joke had to do with his own insecurities,
not his opinion of the LGBTQ community. Hart was previously accused of
being homophobic in 2015 for
prison jokes in the movie, 'Get Hard.' The amount of queer films in the
running for Oscars this year could
further fuel the fire over Hart hosting. The 91st Academy Awards
will air on February 24, 2019.
