Emma Stone's 'Cruella'
to Feature 'an 80s Punk Vibe' The 30-year-old actress is set
to play the lead role in the
live-action take on the
'101 Dalmatians' villainess. The upcoming movie
will be made with a
very distinctive
feel in mind. 'I, Tonya' director
Craig Gillespie is in
early talks to direct 'Cruella.' Alex Timbers was initially
set to direct the project,
but bowed out due
to scheduling issues. Cruella De Vil first gave
audiences chills in Disney's
1961 animated film, '101 Dalmatians.' Glenn Close then brought the
character to life in the 1996
John Hughes live-action
film of the same name. Stone is coming off of a
period film in which she
wore a corset for about a month. She said she has a newfound
sympathy for the women of
the past who had to
wear corsets every day.
