An Expansion NHL Team is Coming to the City of Seattle, Washington The squad will be the 32nd
to enter the league. This gives the NHL 16 teams in both the Western and Eastern conferences. Seattle's franchise will join the NHL starting in the 2021-22 season. They will play at KeyArena, which served as the home of the Seattle Supersonics until 2008. The building will have a capacity of
17,400 for hockey games. To create the team, Seattle's club will get to select one unprotected player from each of the NHL's 31 other franchises.
