After a few rather unsuccessful sessions in the past couple of weeks, with the river conditions and weather fluctuating drastically, I finally managed a few hours below the weir, in the "barbel" swim.
With the water temperature at 8 degrees (and rising) and the weather very mild for the time-of-year I took the chance to break out the running leger gear with a view to targeting the chub and with an outside, but realistic, chance of a barbel.
I also took the opportunity to have a chat about what's been happening since the last video.
