According to a report by Business Insider, on Saturday, a French protest against rising taxes and the high cost of living turned violent as police fired teas gas and water cannons in street battles with protestors. Police reportedly said that at least 65 people, including 11 officers, were injured in the violent protests, while at least 140 were arrested.
