After Sunday's early-morning session I returned to my accustomed ways with a couple of hours bream fishing after work.
With the nights now really drawing in it was a rush to get on the bank before dusk.
I decided, once again, to drop into the swim we have been prebaiting as the river has seen little or no influx of water since we were last out, meaning that a trip below the weir would probably prove fruitless. On arrival what I found was a river that had returned back to its low, clear state so my hopes of catching during the daylight were not high.
However, darkness was not far away...

ps. As my instagram followers will know, something rather special happened during my Saturday evening session (28/10/17). That was the session following this one. It was all captured on video and it will be posted on youtube in a day or so, when I have finished the editing.
