A photo Mike Pence posted to his Twitter account on Friday has raised eyebrows.
Vice President Mike Pence has deleted a photo of himself with a Broward County Sheriff's officer who was wearing a patch linked to the controversial conspiracy group QAnon.
According to the Washington Post, the interaction occurred at an airport in Florida on Friday where SWAT team members greeted Pence.
The vice president initially tweeted multiple photos from the exchange, including the photo of himself standing by the men, one of whom was subsequently called out online for wearing the patch featuring a capital "Q."
CNN notes, QAnon runs on uncorroborated conspiracy theories, including one that suggests special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is actually working with President Trump to bring down Democrats and others involved in child sex abuse rings.
Following the criticism of the photo, it was no longer available on Pence's official Twitter account later in the day.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office has since confirmed the patch was not authorized, adding, "This matter will be addressed immediately."
