Artemis Fowl is a series of eight science fiction fantasy novels written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, featuring the criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II. The series has received positive critical reception and generated huge sales. It has also originated graphic novel adaptations.
A film adaptation based on the first two novels has been in process of development by Disney since 2016, and has a set release date of August 9, 2019.
