A month's worth of rain fell in two hours in Sydney on Wednesday, November 27, causing rush hour transport chaos as residents made their way to work in the unprecedented downpour.

According to local media, the NSW State Emergency Service received over 500 calls for help in the early morning. Two officers were injured while helping motorists in the city's north.
