More rain is predicted to fall on northern California over the weekend. Reuters reports the rain has assisted in firefighters’ efforts to extinguish the wildfires but has raised the risk of flash floods and landslides in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The rainfall is also expected to complicate search efforts to find victims of the Camp Fire, which tragically destroyed the city of Paradise, northeast of San Francisco, on November 8.
