Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said the Opposition MPs need to get permission to visit schools.

He earlier announced in the Dewan Rakyat that the opposition party must get approval from state education authorities before visiting schools while wrapping up his ministerial speech on Monday.

When speaking at the parliament lobby later, Dr Maszlee said decision requiring opposition MPs to get approval before visiting schools was to prevent them from spreading hateful remarks against the government, adding that the Education ministry was acting professionally by giving opposition MPs a chance to apply.
