Several Indian villagers stopped in time and dodged a landslide on a mountain road in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, in northern India on November 11.
Sensing that the earth was rumbling, the villagers halted ahead of a suspicious rock outcropping, keeping a safe distance from the troubled spot. Their hunch proved right and a portion of the mountain collapsed right before their eyes.
The landslide blocked the Chamba-Holi road for nearly a day as local officials battled to clear the debris.
