Pediatricians Harden Stance Against Spanking The American Academy of Pediatrics is reinforcing its position on corporal punishment. The Academy released a statement suggesting that "healthy forms of discipline" should be used instead
of spanking. Healthy forms of discipline include positive reinforcement, setting limits and setting expectations.
