Onlookers were stunned when they mistook a car shooting fireworks out of the window for a drive-by shooting in the late hours of last night (November 5).
The loutish behaviour was caught on camera by a Leeds Beckett student in the Hyde Park area of the city, which is a hotspot for student life.
The filmer said: “I'd just been walking up that street 10 minutes before on my way back home from the bonfire on Hyde Park”
“I looked out my window to see that car just firing down the street. I was worried they'd burn a house down.
He later added: “I went outside later to see all our neighbours outside who were just trying to figure out what happened”
From September 2017 to August 2018 the Hyde Park area was subject to over a thousand Anti-Social Behaviour Orders from the Police.
