Different Strokes with the first lady of Indian fashion Ritu Kumar. The show is based on an exclusive interaction with the fashion designer where she talks candidly about how difficult it was to pursue her interest in textiles and fashion designing in the 1970s. Ritu Kumar was the first woman to introduce the 'boutique' culture in India under the brand name 'Ritu'. She also goes on to recall the Miss India 1994 pageant when Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai were competing. Sushmita went on to win not only the Miss India title, but also became the first Indian to be crowned as Miss Universe the same year. Ritu recalls how she took over their wardrobes after that pageant and how both went on to wow the world with their traditional outfits. Different Strokes is a weekly interview based show by Hindustan Times which captures the lives of politicians, artists and celebrities from a different prism.
