President Trump on Wednesday made remarks about migrant caravans.
President Trump on Wednesday suggested that billionaire liberal donor George Soros may be linked to the large migrant caravan headed to the US-Mexico border.
When reporters asked if Soros could be funding the caravan, Trump replied: "I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of people say yes."
The remark came after Trump posted multiple tweets about migrant caravans on Wednesday.
"Our military is being mobilized at the Southern Border. Many more troops coming. We will NOT let these Caravans, which are also made up of some very bad thugs and gang members, into the U.S. Our Border is sacred, must come in legally. TURN AROUND!" Trump wrote.
"The Caravans are made up of some very tough fighters and people," he continued. "Fought back hard and viciously against Mexico at Northern Border before breaking through. Mexican soldiers hurt, were unable, or unwilling to stop Caravan. Should stop them before they reach our Border, but won't!"
His tweets followed the announcement by the Pentagon that it "will deploy at least 5,200 active-duty troops to the U.S.-Mexico border in an effort to prevent members of a migrant caravan" from entering the country, reports USA Today.
