Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has urged the government to stop finding fault with him and his past administration, and focus instead on saving the country's economy.
Najib said the Pakatan Harapan-led federal government has been in power for 200 days, but still lacks clear direction for the economy.
At the same time, he said the challenges facing the economy are many, and that several economic indicators are on the downtrend.
“I hope the Harapan government’s tendency to blame Najib, to blame BN, will no longer be their approach.
“Their entire focus and effort should be on how we can save the country’s economy, how we can protect the interests of the rakyat, and how we can face this more challenging economic environment,” he said in a video address through his official Facebook account last night.
