According to Reuters, the man accused of killing congregants at a synagogue was wheeled into court shackled and bound to a chair.
Robert Bowers was arraigned after being discharged from a local hospital, where he was treated for wounds from a firefight with police.
The 46-year-old stands accused of killing 11 worshipers at the Tree of Life Synagogue, while wounding six other people, including four police officers.
