An Indian railway police officer saved a passenger on Friday who was left hanging from a moving train.
The dramatic scene, which was captured on CCTV at Howrah Railway Station in Kolkata, occurred when the passenger attempted to board the moving express train at Platform 14.
The unidentified commuter slipped and found himself clinging to the side of the train with his legs dangling in the gap between the carriage the station platform.
The quick-thinking police officer managed to lift the stricken passenger and push him into the safety of the train carriage.
"Everything happened within seconds. The passenger was apparently going to board the general coach but he could not as it was full. Later, he was trying to board the reserved coach when the train was in motion and lost balance," said the Railway Protection Force.
