Florida Man Arrested in
Connection to Mail Bombings A spokesperson for the
Department of Justice
made the announcement
of the arrest via Twitter. Officials have
named the
suspect as
Cesar Sayoc. He is described as
a man in his 50's who has a
criminal history, a Florida
address and "ties to New York." Photos on Twitter of the suspect's vehicle revealed a van covered with stickers in support of President
Donald Trump. The Department of Justice has
scheduled a press conference
for Friday afternoon in which
further details are expected. Two more packages were intercepted
on Friday, bringing the total
number so far to 12. Democratic Senator Cory Booker
and Obama-era Director of National
Intelligence James Clapper
were the latest targets. The other 10 targets have
all been either high profile
Democrats or outspoken Trump critics. The first packages, sent to
the homes of Barack Obama
and Hillary Clinton, were
discovered on Wednesday. That same day, the Manhattan
Time Warner building
which hosts the CNN offices,
were evacuated due to a similar threat. In a tweet on Friday before
the arrest, Trump referred
to the mailings as "this 'Bomb' stuff." Speaking at the White House
following the arrest,
his tone had shifted. President Donald Trump, via CNN
