Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as the White House communications director, reportedly called President Trump a "liar" on Wednesday. During an appearance on CNN's 'New Day,' he was asked about the president's apparent habit of speaking untruths and what he would call such a person. Scaramucci initially replied, "like a rascal, like a scoundrel." When pressed on whether "liar" would be an appropriate name, he said: "OK, well we both know that he's telling lies. So if you want me to say he's a liar, I'm happy to say he's a liar." Trump's lies were a topic on the show the day prior as well. Guest Maggie Haberman, a reporter for the New York Times, was asked if Trump's staff was comfortable with his often-escalating exaggerations. "I think people in the White House have become pretty numb to a lot of what happens," Haberman noted. "So I think if you took this on its own and separated it from things, they would say, 'Yes it's a problem.' When you put it with everything else he's done, it sounds like just another day to them."
