Rents finally seem to be dropping in a number of America's biggest metro areas.
In September, rents declined in more than half of the nation's 35 largest markets.
According to Business Insider, Zillow reports that's the first time in six years.
New York City's average rent dropped 1.9% to an average of $2,370.
Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington saw the biggest drops at 2.7% and 2.2% respectively.
