Hillary Clinton on Thursday hit back at President Trump for asserting that she conspired with Russia to gain an advantage in the 2016 election. Clinton wrote, "Seriously, you asked Russia to hack me on national television," and included an NBC News link to its report on Trump's accusation. According to NBC, Trump, during a Wednesday night rally in Pennsylvania, said, "There was collusion between Hillary, the Democrats and Russia. There was a lot of collusion with them and Russia and lots of other people." He offered no support for the claim.
The hacking comment appears to reference Trump's July 2016 news conference during which he said about Clinton's emails: "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press."
