A Chinese tourist claimed he was beaten by a Thai security guard for not giving him tips. The incidents prompted an investigation into ‘tips’ solicitation in Thailand. Four immigration officials have been demoted for taking bribes, in exchange for fast tracking visas for Chinese tourists.
