A court in Haryana's Hisar is set to give its verdict in a murder case against self styled Godman Baba Rampal. Ahead of the verdict, thousands of his followers are believed to have slipped into the city over the last several days. In august 2017, Rampal and few of his followers were acquitted in 2 cases of illegal confinement and obstructing govt officials from performing their duty. Now, 5 cases, including sedition and murder against Rampal and his followers are pending in court. When Rampal was arrested in 2014, his followers went on rampage for 2 weeks. Six lives were lost on the violence.
