President Trump on Tuesday claimed that those protesting Brett Kavanaugh haven't been paid.

President Trump on Tuesday issued a bizarre tweet about those who protested now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's nomination.  "The paid D.C. protesters are now ready to REALLY protest because they haven't gotten their checks - in other words, they weren't paid! Screamers in Congress, and outside, were far too obvious - less professional than anticipated by those paying (or not paying) the bills!" Trump wrote. He made the assertion that protesters were being paid days prior, using only the look of their signage as support for his claim.
The president tweeted: "The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals only looking to make Senators look bad. Don't fall for it! Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love!"  Notably, Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court by a 50-48 Senate vote on Saturday despite allegations of sexual assault.
The event marking his ascendancy was held on Monday evening at the White House.
