On Saturday, Banksy's painting "Girl With Balloon" sold for $1.4 million at a Sotheby's auction house. Immediately following the final hammer of the auctioneer's gavel, the painting slid into a shredder that was hidden in its frame. Art collectors and curators around the world now suspect the painting may be worth more than the $1.4 million it sold for, while others suspect the destruction was a stunt pulled with the participation of Sotheby's, the auction house.
