In a major setback to the Kerala government which is facing the anger of devotees for implementing the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to worship at the Sabarimala temple, the supreme priests have backed out of proposed talk with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan which was supposed to happen today. Priests demand that the government files a review petition in the SC and only then will they be willing to speak to the government. The Kerala government, which changed its stance on the matter last year is now in a complete fix it as continues to face backlash by people across the state.
