According to a report by CNN, on Sunday, Brazilians will vote in a presidential election viewed by many as the most polarizing since the country's return to democracy thirty years ago. The country is also suffering from a prolonged economic recession and extreme violence, with national murder rates soaring to a record high last year. CNN reports that out of 13 candidates, Former army captain and congressman Jair Bolsonaro and ex-Sao Paulo Mayor Fernando Haddad are leading the polls.
