Toyota Recalls 2.4 million Hybrids

2018-10-06 1

According to AutoNews, Toyota is recalling a total of 2.43 million gasoline-electric hybrids. The recall is due to a hybrid system issue that can lead to stalling. The global recall includes the Prius and Auris and covers vehicles produced between October 2008 and November 2014. Toyota said in some situations vehicles could fail to switch to a "fail-safe" driving mode in the event of a fault with the hybrid system, which can lead to a loss of power and result in stalling.
