According to a report, 194 politicians including 6 former Chief Ministers had submitted fake pan details to the election commission in the last 10 years. In an analysis of over 2000 affidavits sworn in by the EC from 2006-2016, it was found that over 194 politicians across 23 states have faked their permanent account number details.
