Minimum marriage age should be 18, no exceptions, says UN’s Special Rapporteur

United Nations human rights expert Maud de Boer-Buquicchio said that the issue of child marriage in Malaysia needs to be tackled as child marriage continues to deprive children, especially girls, of their basic human rights.

De Boer-Buquicchio will present her full report on the matter to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in 2019.
