An average of 3.75 million viewers tuned into Colbert during 2017-2018, according to Nielsen Ratings. That’s 46% higher than the 2.57 million viewers watching Fallon on NBC. However, Jimmy is still king of the 18-to-49 age group that is so deeply valued by advertisers. Many believe Colbert’s rating have soared considering he takes comical swings against Trump.
