Demonstrators gathered in the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington DC on September 20 to protest the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. They chanted, “We believe Anita Hill. We believe Christine Ford,” as this footage shows.

Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were both teenagers. Anita Hill testified before the Senate in 1991, accusing then-nominee Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. Thomas was later confirmed.

Protesters went to the offices of multiple senators who are critical to the Kavanaugh confirmation process, local news outlets said.

In other footage posted by the Women’s March, protesters testify about sexual assaults they survived, thank Christine Ford for coming forward, and detail obstacles they faced in reporting their abusers. Credit: Women’s March via Storyful
