Family Says Common Household Ingredient Nearly Killed Their Dog

An Iowa family says a common household ingredient almost took the life of their dog. The 1-year-old Boxer-Terrier mix had gotten into some melatonin, which isn't normally dangerous, but the medicine contained a sweetener called Xylitol.
