Twitter users had a lot to say about President Trump's "Happy Constitution Day" tweet.
President Trump on Monday tweeted a "Constitution Day" greeting, and it didn't go over well. He wrote, "Happy Constitution Day!" and shared a video about the historic document's journey to its current home, the US National Archives Building. Responses included, "Is this a joke?" and, "This is the most Ironic Tweet I have ever read in my entire life!!." Another person wrote: "What a great opportunity for you to finally read the constitution. Just kidding - there are no pictures." Trump also issued a proclamation, stating, in part: "When the Federal Government acts, it must do so with accountability. We are a Nation of laws, and laws must be enacted by the people's elected representatives. The Constitution ensures that the Government acts only with the consent of the governed, as expressed by the representatives responsible to them."
