Thick Black Smoke Billows From Parking Garage Fire in Brooklyn

Noxious smoke from a multi-vehicle fire incident at the Kings Plaza shopping center in Brooklyn, New York, filled the immediate area and spread to surrounding neighborhoods on September 17.

The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) alerted an all-hands, multiple-vehicle fire at the Kings Plaza shopping center parking garage at 8:48am, local time. Within an hour the FDNY escalated the situation to a seven-alarm.
