Typhoon Mangkhut ripped through Hong Kong and the neighboring cities of Macau and Zhuhai on September 16, leaving trees and fallen debris in its wake.

According to reports from local media Southcn.com, all of the main roads in the city had been closed on September 16, and the South China Morning Post said the 34-mile bridge connecting Zhuhai with Hong Kong and Macau was expected to be put to the test in the typhoon’s winds. The bridge is expected to open this year and was built to withstand winds of up to 125 miles per hour.
