A horde of moths has invaded a small town in France, leaving its residents fed up.
The town of Oyonnax, in the Ain department, has played host to thousands of boxwood moths for the past few weeks, according to one local.
Footage filmed on September 9 around 9:30 PM by Gaelle Lecompte shows a huge cloud of moths sticking to windows and milling around lampposts.
He says he was greeted by the sight when he and his partner arrived in the village late at night.
Lecompte believes the insects' presence is in part explained by the lampposts.
"The moths are particularly concentrated in our village – especially at night because of these streetlights," he said.
