SINGAPORE — A 53-year-old woman had a 61-pound tumor successfully removed from her uterus.
According to News.com.au, Singaporean doctors removed the giant uterine fibroid, tumors that gradually grow in the uterus if left untreated.
The massive tumor weighed a whopping 61-pounds and was 25 inches long. The woman also lost 1.8 gallons of blood during the operation.
According to the case report which was published in the British Medical Journal, the woman had reported trouble breathing when she moved and when she was laying down for about six months.
