Millions of Dollars' Worth of Illicit Drugs and Cash Seized in Brisbane

Millions of dollars’ worth of illicit drugs and cash were seized in New Farm, a suburb of Brisbane, on the morning of Tuesday, September 10.

During the raid, Queensland Police seized more than 40 kg of cannabis, two kg of MDMA and around 300 g of cocaine, which valued at $460,000, and more than $1.56 million in cash. A man, 28, and a woman, 27, had been arrested and charged with offences in relation to possession of dangerous drugs.

Following the raid, police arrested another man and woman from a vehicle leaving the New Farm property and found 10 kg of cannabis on board. A search warrant executed in Tingalpa resulted in another kilogram of cannabis and more than $9,000 in cash. The 27-year-old man and 32-year-old woman had been charged with similar offences.
