This pendulum creates a hypnotic, calming and decorative pattern using the laws of gravity at a science museum near New Delhi, India.
Using the force of gravity, the pendulum goes back and forth using an elliptical motion, which eventually produces a square. This is known as a Lissajous Curve.
The video was shot on September 4 in the Birla Science Centre in Pilani in the northwestern state of Rajasthan.
The filmer writes: 'This video contains a pendulum drawing Lissajous figures using sand, completing a square and retracing its path identically."
