STANBIC’ S MUDIWA SPENDS $1M ON SECOND MARRIAGE WEDDING CEREMONY

After diverting to his personal account money meant to bribe judges and journalists in the Stanbic Savenda case, former Bank boss Charles Mudiwa has spent over One million US dollars on his wedding.

Mudiwa, who divorced his wife recently remarried some Malawian woman over the weekend (18th August 2018 ) at a Hollywood style wedding held at the plush Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls Town in Zimbabwe.

According to one of Mr Mudiwa’s disappointed girlfriends, the wedding had to be held in the tourist town to avoid the numerous women in both Zambia and Zimbabwe he had cheated on and promised marriage to. Most of the women work for Stanbic in Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Mudiwa, who is marrying for the second time, is now Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank Kenya and is the man at the Centre of the now controversial Stanbic Vs. Savenda case. He was the one collecting money from Stanbic to bribe judges and bailiffs but kept most of the money to himself, according to one of his ex- lovers at the bank.

The wedding which has remained the talk of town in both Livingstone and Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe attracted guests from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe and was held in the prestigious Golf course of Elephant Hills Hotel.

Some wedding guests from Malawi were paid for to stay in Livingstone at top Hotels while others stayed at the Elephant Hotel. Two hotels in Livingstone were all booked by Mudiwa.

“Normally only the rich and top stars come here to hold their weddings. Just from the preparations you can tell that millions of dollars have been spent to organize this function. The man marrying (Mudiwa) actually had to hire a company owned by a white woman from South Africa to put this whole wedding together.

“The décor in the marquee is exotic and as you can see they are imported,” a hotel source explained.

Mr. Mudiwa’s wedding which was a highly private function attracted public attention because of the ambience at the two venues – Zambezi Explorer and Elephant Hills Hotel.

“We are told some big guy is getting married in Victoria Falls town,” some taxi drivers on both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides were heard saying.

Mr. Mudiwa who was clad in a charcoal black suit and a white shirt danced with the new wife to the amusement of the crowds.
