Brazilians gathered around the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro in protest on September 3, after the 200-year-old museum was destroyed in a fire.
Local reports said the building lacked a sprinkler system and suffered “years of financial neglect.”
The museum held 20 million items, most of which were destroyed in the September 2 fire.
