Rural New South Wales resident Jenny Fraser danced gleefully in the rain on Monday, September 3, when her paddocks in Caroona were finally blessed with some wet weather.
Fraser told Storyful she had been affected terribly by the drought and was struggling to source feed for her horses. “They stand on dirt, [they] have nothing in their paddocks, it’s terrible,” she said.
Fraser said she lived on a cattle farm with farmers, who were struggling immensely. “They have never seen a drought like it before in their 60 years of living there,” she said.
