In 2003, ARTWalk received the U.S. Conference of Mayors City Livability Award. To showcase ARTWalks urban art trail, the USCM created a short video documentary. The B-roll from this documentary provides an excellent visual archive of the improvements that ARTWalk created for the University Ave neighborhood. In this particular video clip, Executive Director of ARTWalk, Doug Rice, City Mayor Bill Johnson, and Business Owner Paul Kramer walk on University Ave’s urban art trail discussing new ideas (2003). They also visit Starry Nites Café, which has become an eclectic centre for people to have a place for good conversation and coffee.
