Anno 1800 is a city building real-time strategy video game developed by Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft. It is expected to launch in February 2019.[1] After the last two titles, Anno 2205 and Anno 2070, were set in the future, the Anno series goes back to the past with Anno 1800. It is set in the time of the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century. Anno 1800 takes place in the 19th century at the dawn of the Industrial Age.[2] The game will feature a story campaign, a sandbox mode, and multiplayer mode. Like Anno 2205, the game will feature multi-session gameplay, though unlike its predecessor, combat and city-building sessions will not be separated. Furthermore, randomly generated maps, AI opponents that build on the same map as the player, in addition to shippable trade goods and items will make a return from the previous installments of the series. The blueprint mode of Anno 1800 is one of the innovations with which the developers want to make life easier for the player, as builder, during the industrial revolution.[4] This bis an important and new feature, as less attention has to be paid towards the development of the cities, than in the previous versions. Simply, because for the first time the attractiveness of the locations is measured and evaluated within the programme. A metropolis that is attractive according to these requirements attracts more tourists - and that increases the cities income.
