Footage shows the aftermath of a bomb explosion at a festival in Sultan Kudarat, southern Philippines, last night in which two people were killed and 36 were injured.
Senior Superintendent Noel Kinazo said the bomb went off at around 8:34pm near a gas station where locals were enjoying the Hamungaya Festival marking the 61st founding anniversary of the town.
The explosive device was hidden under a motorcycle. It is the latest attack in a troubled region prone to militancy.
Local resident Judy Sapto said she was traumatized to see an injured young girl carried hurriedly by her father.
She said: ''That was loud. We immediately left the area but I can’t forget the images of a young girl carried by her father who seems badly hit by shrapnel as her shirt is full of blood.''
