Good morning, rain that started on Sunday will linger in most parts of the country on this last Monday of August.
Central and southern parts of the country including Daegu, Daejeon, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do Provinces are seeing heavier rainfall with showers falling at a rate of 30 millimeters an hour.
In fact, heavy rain alerts have been issued in those regions with up to 150 millimeters of precipitation expected through Tuesday. The rain is due to a weak trough of low pressure.
It's a cool morning for the central region, kicking off at 21 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon and Chuncheon. Give yourself an extra minutes to get to work, it could be a busy Monday morning commute.
Daily highs in Seoul will be similar to yesterday at 29 degrees, Daegu will see highs jumping from 24 to 29 degrees today.
Expect to more showers, Seoul is forecast to see heavy rainfall from Tuesday into Thursday morning.
