Starbucks to Pay Employees
to Volunteer Starbucks is testing out a program that pays employees to give back. The Seattle-based company will let some employees spend 20 hours a week at a local nonprofit. 36 Starbucks Service Fellows in 13 cities were selected for the pilot program. The fellows will work with organizations that align with Starbucks’ philanthropic priorities. That includes supporting refugees, the environment, military families and more. If successful, Starbucks hopes to expand the giving program beyond 36 people.
